• Changamsha Maisha na Airtel Friendzy lights close to 2000 customers countrywide

Nairobi, February 2, 2012….Airtel Kenyas’ “Changamsha Maisha na Airtel Friendzy” promotion that ran from 1^st December 2011 came to an end on 31^st January 2012.

The promotion saw 2 winners each walk away with Kshs.1 million, 8 lucky Airtel customers also each got Kshs.500,000. Another 16 customers got the opportunity to travel to England to watch the exciting English Soccer Premier League Soccer games at the Manchester United stadium at Old Trafford.

Customers also walked away with high end Samsungs handsets. There were also instant prizes where customers received free SMS’ with every Kshs.50 and above top up.

Traffic over the promotion period grew by over 30% and customers took the opportunity to connect with each other all over Kenya, while celebrating Christmas with friends and families.

The company’s chief operating officer, Shivan Bhargava thanked its customers for their loyalty and support, saying that the success of promotion is testimony of the growing confidence and pride that Kenyans have in the Airtel brand. 

The company is currently running another promotion dubbed Shika More where customers get up to 100 free SMS’ daily in addition to the now popular Sikika na bob campaign offering customers the opportunity to make calls within the network at only Kshs1/- per minute from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
