Western farmers grow income intercropping sugarcane with vegetables

Vanguard farmers in Western Kenya are now reaping the benefits of growing sugar cane with indigenous vegetables, with the vegetables insulating them from the erratic cane market while increasing fertility in their soils. The indigenous vegetables were a favourite among farmers in especially Mumias and Bungoma area in the 60's occupying on average three quarter of household's crop production.

Kenyan farmers will soon be taught farming and other farm management practices through locally translated videos as a global not for profit organization, Access Agriculture, recently expressed interest in training Kenyan farmers, in what it called African breadbasket which needed to modernize farming to increase yields.

Mums can now connect with there babies in intensive care through ipads

The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles has launched a new scheme dubbed “Baby Time”, with the aim to enable hospitalized mums to check on and interact with their newborns in intensive care, of which, could reduce incidents of disappearing babies in hospitals.
